Laura praised enthusiastically Jutta Urpilainen’s work in raising awareness about the importance of education among decision-makers.
As Urpilainen stated in her speech, “investing in education is an investment in our future, not just a cost. However, there is still much more work needed to change the narrative surrounding education. Who will be the next Greta Thunberg of Education? It’s crucial for children to demand better education to exert political pressure for change.”
During the event UNICEF Innovation Executive Director Catherine Russell reminded that there are over 600 million people worldwide unable to read. This only encourages us to strive harder to eradicate illiteracy for good with GraphoGame.
Laura also conversed with Stefania Giannini, Assistant Director-General at UNESCO, and expressed our gratitude for GraphoGame being selected as the the UNESCO King Sejong Literacy Prize 2023.
